About the Opportunity
n
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher Assistant - Learning Enrichment to join our Junior School team in a term-time position, commencing immediately. This rewarding role involves providing individualised support to a student with complex needs, enabling them to access learning, participate fully in school life and achieve their personal goals within a caring and inclusive environment.
n
Working closely with teachers, specialists and families, you will play an important role in supporting the student's learning, wellbeing, independence and inclusion across all aspects of the school day.
n
About You
n
You are a compassionate, patient and skilled education support professional who is passionate about inclusive education and helping students reach their full potential.
n
You will bring experience working with students who have complex physical, developmental, social and emotional needs, together with the ability to build meaningful relationships and provide consistent, high-quality support.
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
- Minimum 1–2 years' relevant experience supporting students with additional or complex needs;
n
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence;
n
- Certificate IV (Education Support) is mandatory, and a minimum Certificate 3 Individual Support (Disability) would be highly regarded.
n
- Experience supporting students with high and/or complex support needs is essential, including familiarity with individual support plans, behaviour support strategies, and personal care routines.
n

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

- Delivering tailored one‐on‐one support in accordance with the student's individual learning and support plan;
n
- Supporting access to learning through adapted resources, routines and engagement strategies;
n
- Encouraging communication, social participation and emotional regulation;
n
- Assisting with personal care needs in a respectful, safe and dignified manner;
n
- Working collaboratively with teachers, specialists and families to support positive outcomes;
n
- Supporting the student across a range of school environments, including classrooms, playgrounds and transitions;
n
- Building positive and trusting relationships that foster confidence, independence and wellbeing.
