About the Company

Our client is a highly respected Tier 1 mechanical services contractor delivering high-quality HVAC construction and maintenance solutions across Australia.

With over a decade of success, they specialise in mechanical building services across commercial office fitouts, healthcare, education, industrial facilities, commercial developments, data centres and large-scale commercial construction.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking both Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineers and Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to join their expanding engineering team.

n

Working alongside experienced Design Managers and senior project stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering innovative HVAC solutions across multiple high-profile projects while continuing to develop your technical and professional skills within a collaborative environment.

The Role

n

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of commercial HVAC projects from concept through to construction.

n





Senior Engineers will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and assist with project coordination and client management.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Design commercial HVAC systems for a range of building services projects
n
- Produce mechanical calculations, equipment selections and system layouts
n
- Prepare design documentation, specifications and technical reports
n
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Architects and Consultants
n
- Attend design and client coordination meetings
n
- Review shop drawings and provide engineering support throughout construction
n
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and NCC requirements
n
- Assist with value engineering and technical problem solving
n
- Support project delivery to achieve programme, quality and budget objectives
n
- Senior Engineers will mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects
n

Selection Criteria

n

To be considered, you will possess:

n

n
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
n
- Intermediate Engineers: 3–5+ years' experience within commercial HVAC or mechanical building services
n
- Senior Engineers: 6–10+ years' experience delivering commercial HVAC projects
n
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC design principles and Australian Standards
n
- Experience using HVAC design software
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
n
- Full Australian working rights | They can offer sponsorship for the right applicant
n
- Ability to provide two recent professional references
n
