Alpine Communications is a leading provider of end-to-end civil and construction services for the Telecommunications and Rail sectors across Queensland. With a reputation built on reliability, quality workmanship, and a commitment to excellence, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Full-Time Civils Team Leader to join us.

About the Role

n

As a Civils Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising civil construction crews across a range of rail and telecommunications projects. This role is primarily based on the Gold Coast, with occasional work in Brisbane and other areas of Southeast Queensland to support operational requirements.

n

You will play a key role in coordinating daily site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while providing leadership and support to your team.

n

This is an excellent prospect for an experienced civil construction professional who enjoys leading, by example, mentoring others, and delivering quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

n

Lead and supervise civil construction crews on rail and telecommunications projects.

n

Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.

n

Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and drawings.

n





Ensure all works comply with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant legislation.

n

Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety, promoting a positive safety culture.

n

Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.

n

Liaise effectively with Project Managers, Supervisors, clients, and subcontractors.

n

Monitor quality of work and proactively resolve on-site issues.

n

Strong understanding of civil construction practices, including concreting, trenching, pit installation, and reinstatement works.

n

Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

n

Ability to work across multiple sites and adapt to changing operational requirements.

n

Rail industry experience highly regarded.

n

Current White Card and unrestricted Driver's Licence (HR Licence desirable).

n

Valid RIW (Rail Industry Worker) Card (desirable).
