About the Role

n

Our client partner, a leading Tier 1 Mining Contractor, is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training across a major mining operation.

n

Working a 5/2 roster, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the HSEQT function. You will lead two back-to-back Safety Superintendents and partner closely with site leadership to strengthen safety performance, compliance and workforce capability.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead the site's HSEQT strategy, systems and performance
n
- Provide leadership to two back-to-back Safety Superintendents
n
- Coach and support operational leaders on safety performance
n
- Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and site requirements
n
- Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions
n
- Monitor trends, risks, audits and critical control performance
n




- Drive continuous improvement across safety and training systems
n
- Prepare and present HSEQT reports to senior stakeholders
n
- Build a proactive and accountable safety cultureMaintain strong relationships across operational and corporate teams
n

About You

n

n
- Extensive HSEQT leadership experience within mining
n
- Previous experience in a Safety Manager or senior safety position
n
- Demonstrated experience leading site-based safety teams
n
- Strong knowledge of mining legislation and risk management
n
- Experience overseeing incident investigations and audit programs
n
- Excellent leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS, HSE or a related discipline
n
- Training and environmental experience will be highly regarded
n
