Practice Nurse / Patient Care Coordinator (Part-Time)

n

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse / Patient Care Coordinator to join our friendly specialist Gastroenterology practice.

n

This is a varied role combining clinical nursing with patient coordination and front desk secretarial responsibilities. We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and takes pride in providing exceptional care and service.

About the Role

n

Responsibilities include:

n

Assisting the specialist during consulting sessions and procedures

n

Providing patients with bowel preparation and procedural information

n

Liaising with patients, GPs, hospitals and pathology providers

n

Reviewing referrals, triaging and coordinating appointments

n

Managing patient recalls and follow-up

n

Willing to assist and support secretaries with front desk duties whenever required

n

About You

n

You will:

n

Ideally be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration

n

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

n





Be highly organised with robust attention to detail

n

Confident using medical software and electronic medical records

n

Demonstrate reliability, professionalism and accountability

n

Take ownership of your work and communicate openly

n

Be warm, compassionate and committed to delivering outstanding patient care

n

Previous experience in Gastroenterology, Endoscopy or specialist consulting rooms is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will be available to work Monday, Tuesday and Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.
