Job Description

Play Workshop is a designer, supplier and builder of playground equipment and play spaces into NSW and ACT. We are a very creative business, looking for opportunities to create custom equipment and amazing playground solutions for our clients. This role requires an enthusiastic and capable Carpenter to work closely with the leading hand to ensure the successful and professional manufacture and delivery of our custom timber products.

Carpenter - Playground Production

This is a Full-time Casual role of 38 hours per week. Work hours will typically be between 7:00am - 3:30pm over five days of the week.

Location

n

The role is based at our Silverwater - 20 Churchill Street, Silverwater, but may also entail some work on sites across Sydney.

Rate of Pay

Depending on experience

n

Main Responsibilities

n

n
- Manufacture/Production of all timber-related playground structures and products, including cutting, routing, sanding, drilling, assembly, oiling/painting
n
- Occasional assembly and/or construction of timber-related playground equipment on site may be required
n
- Assisting with maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
n




- Adhere to all WHS requirements and assist with ongoing improvement
n
- Some involvement in production planning and implementation
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Carpentry
n
- Strong demonstrated experience in WHS and safe systems of work
n
- Strong ability to read and translate production and construction drawings
n
- Solid problem-solving skills and creative thinking
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
n
- Strong work ethic and a positive, "Can-do" attitude
n
