ENERGY EFFICIENT AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and motivated Security Technician/ Electrical Technician/ Tech Support to join our growing team. We specialise in the installation and maintenance of smart home technologies, home automation systems, audio-visual solutions, security systems, and other low-voltage electronic systems for residential and commercial clients.

This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with innovative technology in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
n
Inspect, test, adjust, and repair electronic, electrical (up to 24V), and mechanical instruments in accordance with established procedures.
n
Install electronic equipment and systems, including audio and visual equipment, home entertainment systems, computers, and electronic security systems.
n
Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of electronic equipment and systems.
n
Diagnose faults in electronic machines, instruments, and control systems through systematic testing and inspection.
n
Maintain electronic machines, instruments, and equipment to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
n
Provide clients and team members with guidance on the correct operation of electronic systems to minimise faults and extend equipment lifespan.
n
Install electronic instruments and control systems in accordance with technical specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
n
Safely operate hand tools,
power tools, and electronic testing equipment when installing, servicing, and repairing electronic systems.
n
Read and interpret low-voltage electrical codes, technical manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documentation.
n
Investigate and resolve equipment irregularities, installation issues, procedural deviations, and system faults to ensure efficient operation.
n
Security Technician
n
Install, program, and commission CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, and Intercom systems.
n
Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency fault rectification across client sites.
n
Work with IP-based security network architectures, cloud-managed platforms, and software integrations.
n
Act as a technical point of contact on-site, providing explicit communication and technical guidance to clients.
n
Complete accurate service reports, job signoffs, and site handovers digitally.
n
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment, effectively prioritise tasks and executing defined deadlines.
n
Travel across the Sydney Metro Area to deliver responsive Service and Project Support.
n
High level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance and quality assurance.
n
Build trusted customer relationships and support continuous customer satisfaction.
n
Stay updated on the latest security technologies and industry trends.
n
Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, remote access, or onsite visits.
n
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
n
Install, configure, test, and maintain computer systems, peripheral devices, and software applications.
n
Set up user accounts, email systems, printers, and network-connected devices.
n
Respond to support requests and resolve technical issues within agreed service timeframes.
n
Escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers or vendors when required.
n
Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, backups, and security checks.
n
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
n
Document support activities, solutions, and system changes using the company's ticketing system.
n
Assist with the installation and configuration of networking equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
n
Provide user training and guidance on the correct use of hardware, software, and IT systems.
n
Maintain IT inventory, including computers, monitors, accessories, software licences, and network equipment.
n
Requirements
n
Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment and low-voltage systems.
n
Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics.
n
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Australia will be preferred.
