We're currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for site-based work for the Wetherill Park Facility.
n
This is a hands‐on role supporting the ongoing reliability and performance of critical plant equipment, If you're the right fit, this opportunity will become permanent.

- MONDAY TO FRIDAY WORK
n
- WETHERILL PARK LOCATION
n
- OCCASIONAL OVERTIME WHERE REQUIRED
n
- 7am – 3pm
n
- $60.30 per hour + overtime rates if required
n
- Temp to Permanent Opportunity
n
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Perform fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, motors, agitators, and blowers
n
- Interpret mechanical drawings and manuals to carry out accurate maintenance
n
- Use of CMMS (preferably MEX) to manage maintenance tasks and records
n
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, particularly around chemicals, confined spaces, and moving machinery
n
- Trade qualification: Mechanical engineering or maintenance fitter qualification together with relevant experience
n
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter or similar trade background
n
- Strong hands‐on experience with rotating equipment maintenance
n
- Exposure to preventative and predictive maintenance regimes
n
- Sound knowledge of safe work practices in industrial environments
n
- Competent using CMMS systems for tracking and reporting maintenance activities
n
- Background in chemical processing or high‐risk industrial environments
n
- Exposure to Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) and CI methodologies
n
- Basic welding skills (TIG, MIG, stick)
n
- Experience with shutdown/turnaround maintenance work
n
- Familiarity with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and plant isolation procedures
n
n
Essential Skills & Experience:
n
n
- Trade qualification: Mechanical engineering or maintenance fitter qualification together with relevant experience
n
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter or similar trade background
n
- Robust hands‐on experience with rotating equipment maintenance
n
- Exposure to preventative and predictive maintenance regimes
n
- Sound knowledge of safe work practices in industrial environments
n
- Competent using CMMS systems for tracking and reporting maintenance activities
n

Desirable:
n
n
- Background in chemical processing or high‐risk industrial environments
n
- Exposure to Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) and CI methodologies
n
- Forklift Licence
n
- Basic welding skills (TIG, MIG, stick)
n
- Experience with shutdown/turnaround maintenance work
n
- Familiarity with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and plant isolation procedures
