Our Hotel Receptionist role is a crucial part of the guest experience at Deco Hotel, located in Braddon, ACT. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm, friendly and effective service from arrival to departure. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to develop your customer service skills and be part of a dynamic hospitality team.

This role requires availability to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

What you'll be doing

n

Greeting guests with a friendly and professional manner upon arrival and departure

n

Efficiently checking guests in and out, processing payments and handling inquiries

n

Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any guest concerns

n

Assisting with making reservations, answering phone calls, and responding to email inquiries

n

Maintaining accurate records and documentation

n

Working collaboratively with the hotel team to ensure a seamless guest experience

n

Adhering to all hotel policies and procedures

n

What we're looking for

n

Previous experience in a customer service or front office role, preferably in the hospitality industry

n





Minimum of 1 year of customer service or front office experience is required

n

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a warm and friendly service

n

Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

n

Proficient in using hotel management software and technology

n

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

n

A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to the success of the hotel

n

Valid Australian work rights are required for this position
