We're in search of eager and driven individuals to embark on an exciting career journey as Carpentry Apprentice with Action Trades & Apprenticeships. Are you interested in mastering the art of building homes,enjoying the gratification of gaining carpentry and construction skills, and seeing a project through to completion?

As a Carpentry Apprentice with Action, you'll:

n

Engage in diverse projects, from new home constructions to renovations and commercial building construction.

n

Work full time, putting in a minimum 38 hours a week.

n

Undertake training with our Host Employers, ensuring you become trade qualified within 4 years.

n

If you are a recent school graduate, a current school student seeking a full time or school-based apprenticeship, or someone looking to build a career in construction with the opportunity for both job satisfaction and financial independence, we encourage you to apply.

n

With guidance from seasoned professionals, you'll:

n

Construct wall and ceiling frames, pitched roofs, eaves, and external stairs.

n

Lay sub-flooring and floorboards.

n

Execute tasks like nailing fascia panels, fitting exterior cladding, assembling door and window frames,



and construct concrete formwork.

n

Utilize various hand and power tools, read and interpret building plans, take levels, and perform building calculations.

n

To be eligible for this exciting opportunity, you should:

n

Demonstrate a keen interest and commitment to the Construction industry.

n

Possess a White Card; or are able to obtain one promptly.

n

Hold a current Driver's License and own reliable transportation.

n

A Certificate I or II in Construction is advantageous, and prior construction industry experience is preferred.

n

Be physically fit, self-disciplined, detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

n

Exhibit a capacity to follow direction and prioritize safety for yourself and your team.

n

As an Action apprentice, you'll also enjoy various benefits, including award wages (paid weekly), tool allowances, Super, College training and Holiday Leave.
