Butchery Packing Room Assistant / Food Packer

What You Will Do

Pack and label: Accurately wrap, box, and label various meat cuts.

n

Quality check: Inspect products to ensure they meet strict food standards.

n

Operate machinery: Safely use vacuum sealers, weighing scales, box strapper.

n

Maintain hygiene: Keep the cold-room workstation spotless and follow sanitisation rules.

n

Palletise orders: Stack boxes safely onto pallets ready for transport dispatch.

n

What You Need

n

Physical fitness: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [e.g 15kg].

n

Cold tolerance: Comfort working in a chilled, temperature-controlled environment.

n

Reliability: Punctual attitude with solid attention to detail.

n

Safety focus: Willingness to wear required PPE (hairnets, steel-cap boots, aprons).

n

Prior experience in food manufacturing, warehousing, or butchery is a plus but not required.
