The Role:
n
Mildura Base Public Hospital's Mental Health Department is seeking experienced clinicians to join our START Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT). The START team delivers timely, recovery-oriented assessment and brief intervention for people experiencing acute mental health presentations across the Mildura region.
n
This is a meaningful role in a supportive multidisciplinary team where you will have real scope to make a difference at a critical point in people's lives - all within one of regional Victoria's most liveable and sunny communities.
n
Duties for this role include undertakingprimary consultation services including triage, assessments, risk and safety planning and short-term therapeutic intervention in conjunction with consumers, their families/ supports and other professionals as required.
n
Thepositions areclassified asaRegistered Psych Nurse Grade 3, Social Work Grade 2, Occupational Therapist Grade 2 under the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement or a Psychologist Grade 2 under the Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists Victorian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement.

About You:
n
To be successful in this roleyou willhavea relevant degree in Nursing,Social Work, Psychology or Occupational Therapy
n
Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment and/or crisis/brief intervention
n
Experience in community or acute mental health settings
n
Availability and willingness to work shift work including on-call recall
n
Strong communication, teamwork and clinical documentation skills
n
Current Victorian Driver's Licence
n
A valid Victorian Working with Children Check and a National Police Check (undertaken in the last three months) are required.
