Salary Range: Grade 4, $1,358.701 per week + Superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions)

Infrastructure Services plays a critical role in preserving, maintaining and enhancing Brisbane’s extensive asset portfolio, including the city's road network, bridges, footpaths, parks and urban forest.

Our Branch

Construction delivers and maintains Brisbane's essential infrastructure includingroadside infrastructure, drainage, bridges, electrical assets and community facilities.

Our team plan, build and maintain the infrastructure that keeps Brisbane moving.

The Role

As part of the Traffic Control team, you will contribute to the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, pedestrians and plant around Council worksites. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will implement traffic management plans, maintain safe work zones and provide excellent customer service to the public

Key responsibilities include:

- setting up and maintaining traffic control operations and site housekeeping
- implementing approved traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes
- directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic safely around work sites
- guiding trucks and plant movements within work zones
- responding to public enquiries professionally and courteously
- contributing to team goals and maintaining a strong safety culture
- identifying and responding to traffic management risks and issues.

To be successful you will have:

- proven experience working independently and as part of a team
- experience undertaking traffic control activities for vehicles and pedestrians
- solid communication skills and the ability to follow and interpret instructions
- knowledge of the Queensland Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (QGTTM), MUTCD Part 3 and Traffic Control Accreditation Scheme (TCAS)




- sound problem-solving skills and the ability to make safe decisions in changing environments
- commitment to workplace health and safety and customer service excellence.

Mandatory Requirements

- current open C class driver's licence
- current General Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Desirable Qualifications

- current Traffic Controller Accreditation
- Traffic Management Implementation Accreditation
- First Aid Accreditation.
