Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Nurse Unit Manager to lead our healthcare team in a multipurpose setting. This is an exciting time to join Alpine Health. We are investing in service enhancements that will directly support the NUM role, including the employment of a dedicated Social Worker and the establishment of a new Allied Health team, strengthening multidisciplinary acute care and enabling a more sustainable and supported leadership environment.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Providing strong clinical leadership that promotes safe, high-quality patient care
n
- Leading and supporting nursing staff to foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture
n
- Overseeing unit operations, including staffing, patient flow and resource management
n
- Driving quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
n
- Ensuring compliance with clinical standards, accreditation requirements and organisational policies
n
- Working closely with medical, allied health and support services to optimise care delivery
n
- Contributing to service planning, change initiatives and workforce development
n
n
About You
n
n
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
n
- Previous experience in a nursing leadership or management role
n
- Strong clinical governance knowledge and a commitment to quality and safety
n
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
n
- The ability to lead teams through change with confidence and empathy
n
- A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
n
- A commitment to professional development and contemporary practice
