About the Role

n

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join Orana Gardens in Dubbo NSW 2830. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in ensuring the upkeep, safety, and optimal functioning of our facilities and grounds. As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all maintenance operations, lead a maintenance team, and ensure that all systems, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. This position is essential to our operations and directly impacts the quality of our service delivery and the safety of our community.

Key Responsibilities

n

Supervise, coordinate, and manage the maintenance team to ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard

n

Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance activities across all facilities and grounds

n

Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and landscaping to identify maintenance needs

n

Manage maintenance budgets, track expenditure, and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented

n

Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance work completed, including inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing

n

Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues and emergencies to minimise disruption and ensure safety

n

Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to obtain quotations, manage service agreements, and coordinate specialist work

n

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and building regulations

n

Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices, safety protocols, and new procedures

n





Develop and implement maintenance strategies to extend the lifespan of assets and equipment

n

Monitor and report on the condition of facilities to senior management, providing recommendations for improvements

n

What We're Looking For

n

Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar supervisory maintenance role within a facilities, hospitality, healthcare, or service-based workplace

n

Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance

n

Demonstrated experience in managing maintenance teams and leading staff

n

Competency in preventative maintenance planning and scheduling

n

Proficiency in using maintenance management software and computer systems

n

Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements

n

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues

n

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

n

Valid driver's licence and ability to travel within the local area

n

Relevant qualifications or certifications in maintenance, facilities management, or building services (preferred)

n

Experience with grounds and landscaping maintenance (preferred)

n

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff and external contractors
