Our client, a well-established manufacturer based in Smithfield, is currently seeking an experienced Upholsterer to join their production team.

This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with proven upholstery experience in a manufacturing or commercial furniture environment. You will be responsible for upholstering office chairs and commercial furniture to a high standard using a variety of upholstery tools and techniques.

Location: Smithfield, NSW
n Monday to Friday | 7:30am - 4:00pm
n Pay Rate: $35-$40 per hour + Super
n Overtime Available | Temp to Permanent Opportunity

About the Role

This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with proven upholstery experience in a manufacturing or commercial furniture workplace. You will be responsible for upholstering office chairs and commercial furniture to a high standard using a variety of upholstery tools and techniques.

Duties Include
n
n
- Upholstering office chairs and commercial furniture
n
- Using hand staplers,
upholstery tools and power tools
n
- Cutting and preparing fabrics, foam and other materials using templates and patterns
n
- Measuring, fitting and securing upholstery materials
n
- Completing quality inspections on finished products
n
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
n
- Working as part of a team to meet production targets
n
n
To Be Successful, You Will Have
n
n
- Previous upholstery experience is essential
n
- Experience upholstering commercial furniture, office chairs or similar products
n
- Experience using hand staplers, upholstery tools and power tools
n
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
n
- A reliable work ethic and positive attitude
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
n
n
