A renowned infrastructure and renewables company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its growing Australian legal team.

Position Description

n

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work closely with other senior in-house counsel and business leaders across Australia.

n

This is a senior, hands-on position that combines both strategic and transactional responsibilities advising on major infrastructure and energy projects. You will draft, negotiate and advise on:

- Services agreements
n
- Framework agreements
n
- EPC / construction and engineering contracts
n
- O&M;, asset management and long-term service arrangements
n

n

You will lead contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, contractors and joint venture partners and work closely with the business to identify and manage commercial and legal risk.

n

You will run tendering, bids and procurement process and advice on contract variations, disputes and claims management throughout the life cycle of the projects.

n

Ideal Candidate

n

The successful candidate will bring:

n

n




- 6+ years' post-qualification experience in construction and infrastructure law, gained within a leading law firm and/or major EPC or project delivery organisation.
n
- Strong technical construction and projects experience, ideally with exposure to energy and renewables.
n
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-party transactions with a commercial and solutions-focused mindset.
n
- A cooperative and proactive approach, thriving in a lean and high-performing team.
n
