We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to join a well respected, growing legal team in Brisbane. This is a fantastic prospect for a talented individual to make a significant contribution to our business and work on a diverse range of commercial matters. You will be a key legal advisor, working closely with various internal stakeholders and external parties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of commercial matters, including:
n
- Contract drafting, review, and negotiation (e.g., supply agreements, distribution agreements, service agreements, IT agreements, etc.)
n
- Commercial transactions (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate structuring)
n
- Intellectual property (IP) matters
n
- Privacy and data protection
n
- Competition and consumer law
n
- Manage complex legal projects and transactions, ensuring timely and effective completion.
n
- Identify and assess legal risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
n
- Instruct and manage external counsel where necessary.
n
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulatory changes.
n
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal matters.
n
- Contribute to the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:
n
n
- Minimum of 5+ years post-admission experience (PAE) in commercial law.
n
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
n
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business principles.
