Role-Data Tester

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform end-to-end Data Warehouse testing, including ETL, data migration, data integration, and reporting validation.
n
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
n
- Perform detailed SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and backend testing.
n
- Validate data transformation logic, source-to-target mappings, and data quality rules.
n
- Conduct testing across cloud data warehouse platforms such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or similar.
n
- Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
n
- Identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and work closely with Data Engineers and Business Analysts for resolution.
n
- Execute regression, integration, system, and performance testing for data solutions.
n
- Validate BI reports and dashboards against warehouse data.
n
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups,



reviews, and retrospectives.
n
- Create and maintain test documentation, defect reports, and test execution reports.
n

Mandatory Skills & Experience

n

n
- Strong experience as a Data Warehouse Test Analyst / ETL Test Analyst / BI Test Analyst.
n
- Hands-on experience with SQL including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and data reconciliation.
n
- Star/Snowflake schemas
n
- Fact and Dimension tables
n
- Data modelling concepts
n
- Data quality and validation techniques
n
- Experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration processes.
n
- Experience working with at least one cloud data platform, such as:
n
- Azure Synapse Analytics / Azure Data Factory
n
- Snowflake
n
- AWS Redshift / Glue
n
- Google BigQuery
n
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar).
n
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and quality.
