The Role
n
Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will provide clinical leadership and operational oversight across a busy headspace service. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based mental health care for young people aged 12-25 years while supporting clinicians, managing service demand and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
- Providing clinical leadership, consultation and support to multidisciplinary clinicians and allied health professionals
n
- Leading clinical review meetings, case discussions and clinical governance activities
n
- Managing referrals, service demand, waitlists and client flow to ensure timely access to care
n
- Providing formal and informal supervision, mentoring and professional development to clinical staff
n
- Supporting evidence-based interventions including CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and psychoeducation approaches
n
- Monitoring clinical quality, risk management and compliance with relevant governance frameworks
n
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with community providers,
consortium partners and external stakeholders
n
- Supporting service development, health promotion initiatives and integrated care pathways for young people and families
n
- Contributing to strategic planning, reporting requirements and continuous quality improvement activities
n
- Maintaining a small clinical caseload during periods of increased service demand where required
n
n
About You
n
To be successful, you will possess:
n
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or a related discipline
n
- Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership with AASW or relevant professional body
n
- Demonstrated leadership experience within youth, mental health or community health settings
n
- Strong clinical assessment, intervention and risk management skills working with young people and families
n
- Experience providing clinical supervision, mentoring and support to multidisciplinary teams
n
- Sound understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement and mental health service delivery frameworks
n
- Experience managing competing priorities, service demand and workforce coordination
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
n
- Understanding of culturally safe practice and social and emotional wellbeing principles, particularly for First Nations communities
n
- Current Driver's Licence, Working with Children Check, National Police Check and First Aid/CPR certification
n
n
