We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pastry Cook to join our growing kitchen team. This is an excellent prospect for someone who is committed to producing high-quality pastries and desserts while developing their career within one of Australia's leading hospitality groups.

Full Australian working rights or eligibility to work in Australia.
n
Certificate III or higher in Patisserie or Commercial Cookery, or equivalent qualification and/or 1–3 years' experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar pastry role within a commercial kitchen.
n
Strong knowledge of pastry production techniques, desserts, cakes, breads and baked goods.
n
Experience producing high-quality products in a high-volume or premium dining environment.
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
n
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
n
Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
n
Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays.
n
Experience in Italian pastry and dessert production.
n
Experience working in premium restaurants, hotels or high-volume venues.
n
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
n
Experience with menu development and seasonal dessert creation.
n
Strong understanding of allergen management and dietary requirements.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Prepare, bake and present a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads and other baked goods to company standards.
n
Produce mise en place and complete daily pastry preparation in accordance with production schedules.
n
Assist with the development and implementation of seasonal dessert menus.
n
Monitor food quality, consistency and presentation to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
n
Maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise food waste through effective stock rotation and inventory control.
n
Ensure all equipment is operated safely and maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
n
Comply with all food safety, HACCP, workplace health and safety, and company procedures.
n
Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to deliver high-quality service.
n
Assist with ordering, receiving and storing pastry ingredients.
n
Contribute to a positive, professional and high-performing kitchen culture.
n
