Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking for more than just month end reporting?

This is an opportunity to join a large, well established Australian organisation with international backing, where you'll play a key role in the finance team while developing towards a future Financial Controller position.

Working within a complex corporate environment, you'll combine technical accounting with leadership responsibilities, process improvement initiatives and exposure to international operations. What you'll be doing

n

n
- Lead the Accounts Payable and Payroll teams, providing guidance and support.
n
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with financial reporting activities.
n
- Support international tax compliance and statutory reporting.
n
- Prepare and review financial derivatives and back-office accounting.
n
- Ensure compliance with FBT, payroll tax, WorkCover and other statutory requirements.
n
- Assist with external audits and insurance renewals.
n
- Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function.
n
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to support operational and financial outcomes.
n

About you

n

n
- CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion).
n




- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant within a large corporate or complex business.
n
- Strong SAP experience or similar is ideal
n
- Previous experience leading or mentoring finance staff.
n
- Sound knowledge of financial reporting, statutory compliance and accounting principles.
n
- Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, mining, FMCG or other large corporate environments will be highly regarded.
n
- A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to improve systems and processes.
n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
