Position Summary

n

The Support Worker will provide assistance to clients in accordance with their individual NDIS plans, promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide support to clients in line with their NDIS goals and support plans
n
- Assist with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
n
- Provide transportation support to appointments and community activities
n
- Deliver respite care to clients and their families when required
n
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care plans and progress notes
n
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the care team
n
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure client well-being
n
- Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with NDIS best practices
n

Requirements

n

n
- Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent
n




- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or related field), or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded)
n
- Lived experience and/or paid experience supporting people with disability
n
- Must be currently located in Australia at the time of application
n
- Must hold valid work rights and lawful permission to live and work in Australia at the time of application
n
- Availability to work across day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends
n
- Robust understanding of the NDS and its Practice Standards
n
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and duty of care obligations
n
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity to varying abilities, backgrounds, and communication needs
n
- Basic care skills, including first aid (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital systems
