YOUR NEW ROLE

n

Reporting to an industry-leading specialist partner& supported by a paralegal/junior lawyer, you will love resolving a full spectrum of intellectually stimulating +interesting disputes (Superior level & Land & Environment Courts) relating to:

n

n
- all aspects of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and related legislation;
n
- development applications (DAs), complying DAs and exempt development.
n
- applications to amend LEPs and planning proposals;
n
- voluntary planning agreements and developer contributions.
n
- easements and access to land ;
n
- land contamination, pollution, remediation and voluntary management proposals.
n




- directors' duties and liabilities under planning and environment regulations.
n
- critical habitat and the operation of threatened species conservation legislation;
n
- site and environmental audits, due diligence and environmental impact assessment;
n
- regulatory compliance and enforcement;
n
- Land and Environment Court Applications and Appeals.
n

Only if your desire some variety, scope to also practice in some construction law and/or strata law (depending on your experience).

WHO YOU ARE

n

We are interested in hearing from you if you:

- are admitted as a solicitor in NSW;
n
- have minimum 4 yrs or more hands-on environmental/planning/local government law litigation experience (essential) preferably acting for applicants (ie developers/private entities);
n
- have strong communication, research, negotiation, advocacy and client management skills;
n
- are practical, adaptable, commercial, dead-line driven and results-oriented;
n
- are hungry to advance your career LONG-TERM as a specialist environmental/planning lawyer with a top premier specialist firm.
