About the Opportunity

n

La Vita Care are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers with a background in Mental Health to deliver supports to participants in Moonee Ponds and the surrounding Melbourne Metropolitan regions. A variety of shifts are available including sleepover shifts.

n

You will support multiple clients with varying high complex disabilities.

n





The ability to slow down and hold a descent conversation across a variety of topics and enjoy a laugh is valued as well as your capacity to quickly understand and respond to changing client social, emotional, physical, and medical support needs.

n

Applicants should be prepared to support our clients with activities of daily living such as medication support, domestic duties, personal care and living their best life. Training will be provided.

The position will commence in a casual capacity with Permanent part time opportunities in the future.

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Cert IV in Disability or a relevant qualification and a minimum of 6mths experience in the sector
n
- Proven can-do, positive and willing attitude
n
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
n
- Friendly disposition and engaging manner
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Current First Aid Training
n
- Manual Handling training (or willing to obtain)
n
- COVID-19 Immunisation
n
- Access to a car and a current driver's license you may be required to transport clients in your own vehicle, but you will be reimbursed per kilometre for this
n
- Ability to work autonomously
