CIHE Australia is a private HEI operating in North Sydney, Hurstville, Perth and Canberra. We are currently seeking to appoint a Student Support Officer for the Philippine market to join our growing team in Sydney.

n

Responsibilities

n

Provide marketing advice and assistance to the senior management team, particularly for the Philippine market

n

Identify and create opportunities to develop the brand and profile of CIHE

n

Liaise with onshore and offshore education agents dealing with the Philippine market

n

Work with the student support manager to provide clear orientation and guidance to students regarding the support services available to them.

n

Where appropriate, refer students to relevant academic staff for academic support services

n

Where appropriate, refer students to external services for personal support.

n

Provides information to students about the use of the CIHE grievance procedure.

n

Provide advice to students in person via front desk operations and online.

n

Understand the importance of inclusion, equality, and diversity.

n





Provide information to students about taking care of their well-being and safety.

n

Assist in the planning for and provision of support to students with disabilities and/or additional needs.

n

Selection Criteria

n

Undergraduate Qualifications in business, marketing, or related discipline

n

Knowledge of and experience in the support of international students, preferably in a higher education context

n

Qualified experience in marketing preferably in the international higher education sector

n

An understanding of the needs of students

n

Ability to work well as part of a team

n

Familiarity with the legal and regulatory frameworks governing Higher Education in Australia, especially as these relate to international students

n

A good understanding of how to respond to the needs of different stakeholders

n

Experience in quality assurance, including the monitoring, reporting on, and improvement of services.
