Job Description
All Energy Contracting (AEC) is a leading multi-disciplinary construction contractor specialising in the renewable energy and power infrastructure sectors. We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to support the commercial performance and commercial success of our projects. This permanent, full-time role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and commercial visibility across projects, supporting informed decision making and strong commercial outcomes.
n
Working closely with Project Managers, operations team and key stakeholders, you will provide meaningful insights into project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and help drive commercial efficiency across a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Develop and maintain accurate project cost forecasts, budgets, and accruals
n
- Monitor project cost performance and analyse variances against budget and forecast
n
- Clearly articulate monthly cost variances, including root causes and cost drivers
n
- Prepare detailed commercial and cost reports for project teams and leadership
n
- Identification and management of project risks and opportunity's
n
- Collaborate with operational and delivery team to ensure support on Contracts and Projects
n
- Drive continuous improvement in Commercial systems and processes
n
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on cost control processes and best practice
n
n
Key Skills and Experience:
n
n
- Recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in cost control or commercial analysis, ideally within a project-based environment
n
- Proven experience working in project cost control, forecasting, and accruals
n
- Extensive experience in a similar Cost Controller role within a large corporate environment
n
- Experience within the energy, utilities, construction, or infrastructure industry highly regarded
n
- Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret contracts and commercial impacts
n
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
n
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
n
