Transport & Warehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Transport & Warehouse Manager to lead a high‐performing logistics operation based at the Port of Brisbane. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing transport, warehouse, scheduling, administration, compliance, financial performance, and operational efficiency across the branch.

About the Role

n

As the Transport & Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of both transport and warehouse functions while driving performance, compliance, culture, and customer outcomes.

n

You will lead multiple operational teams and work closely with internal departments to ensure service delivery, operational excellence, and financial success.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Transport Operations

n

n
- Lead and manage transport and warehouse teams to achieve operational targets
n
- Oversee scheduling, fleet utilisation, and operational efficiency
n
- Work closely with Fleet Maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and compliance
n
- Ensure adherence to Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR regulations, and all legislative requirements
n
- Monitor and improve DIFOT and other operational performance metrics
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost‐saving strategies
n
- Manage escalations relating to transport, warehouse, HR, payroll, and WHS matters
n
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring high service levels
n
- Oversee SLA performance to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded
n
- Lead workforce planning, driver recruitment,



and operational culture initiatives
n

Warehouse Operations

n

n
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound container movements
n
- Ensure staffing levels align with operational workload requirements
n
- Maintain stock control integrity, including CHEP & LOSCAM accountability
n
- Ensure safe product handling and adherence to OH&S; procedures
n
- Manage contractors and unpack crews on‐site
n
- Ensure warehouse presentation, cleanliness, and organisation standards are maintained
n
- Oversee equipment maintenance and servicing schedules
n
- Prepare operational and customer reporting as required
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience managing transport and warehouse operations
n
- Strong leadership capability with experience coaching and developing teams
n
- Exposure to freight forwarding, logistics, or large‐scale transport operations
n
- Excellent problem‐solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
n
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational costs
n
- High attention to detail and organisational capability
n
- A proactive and solutions‐focused mindset
n
- Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and operational legislation
n
- Ability to perform in a rapid‐paced, high‐volume environment
n

Skills & Systems

n

n
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams
n
- Power BI experience highly regarded
n
- Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to undertake)
n
