Facilities & Equipment

Animal Eye Care is equipped with advanced ophthalmic technology and diagnostic equipment, including:
n

- On-site slit lamp biomicroscopes, indirect ophthalmoscopes, and digital retinal imaging
n
- Tonometry (TonoVet and Tono-Pen) for intraocular pressure measurement
n
- High-frequency ultrasound for intraocular and orbital diagnostics
n
- Electroretinography (ERG) to assess retinal function
n
- In-house lab for tear testing, cytology, and routine diagnostics
n
- Fully equipped surgical suite for cataract, corneal, and eyelid procedures
n
n
All surgeries are performed at our specialist hospital in Melbourne.

About the Role
n
As a Veterinary Ophthalmologist, you will provide advanced medical and surgical ophthalmic care, working closely with a team of specialists, residents, interns, and highly skilled veterinary nurses to preserve and restore vision for animal patients.
n
This position is ideally suited to an experienced ophthalmologist seeking a rewarding referral caseload, opportunities for teaching and mentorship, and the flexibility to enjoy Australia's renowned lifestyle.

Requirements
n
n
- Diplomate status with the ACVO or ECVO, or Fellowship of the ANZCVS in Veterinary Ophthalmology.
n
- Eligibility for veterinary registration in Victoria (limited registration pathways available for suitable international candidates).
