They are looking to appoint an Investment Analyst in a newly created role. The chance offers rare early-career exposure while providing the opportunity to help shape a growing businesses from the ground up.

The Opportunity

n

Part of a high-performing Funds Management team, this position offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle, supporting both direct and indirect investment activities.

n

Working closely with experienced investment professionals, you will assess investment opportunities, conduct research and analysis, support investment decision-making, and contribute to the ongoing management of a diverse investment portfolio.
n Key Responsibilities will include:

n

- Conducting investment research, market analysis and commercial due diligence on investment opportunities, fund managers, startups and emerging technologies.
n
- Supporting investment recommendations through financial analysis, valuation assessment, competitor review and preparation of investment papers and briefing materials.
n
- Assessing new investment opportunities and assisting with investment execution, co-investments and follow-on investments.
n
- Monitoring portfolio performance and preparing reporting, governance and investment monitoring materials.
n
- Supporting relationships with fund managers, founders,



researchers and other participants across the innovation ecosystem.
n
- Analysing risks, identifying potential mitigants and contributing to investment governance processes.
n
- Undertaking sector and technology research to evaluate commercial opportunities and emerging market trends.
n
- Attending industry events and developing relationships across the venture capital, startup, research and investment communities.

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, STEM, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
n
- We will consider candidates from external Audit, Superannuation, Venture Capital, Funds Management, or a related environments.
n
- Exposure to venture capital, startups, research commercialisation, innovation, funds management or institutional investing will be advantageous.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and develop evidence-based recommendations.
n
- Strong commercial judgement and genuine curiosity about businesses, markets, emerging technologies and innovation.
n
- A proactive, accountable and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in an evolving environment.
