Compassionate Community Care is a growing, values-driven NDIS registered provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports across Far North Queensland. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and people-focused HR & Rostering Coordinator to join our administration team.

This is a casual position offering ongoing full-time hours (38 hours per week) for the right candidate.

About the Role
n
As our HR & Rostering Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our workforce by coordinating staff rosters, supporting recruitment and onboarding, maintaining HR compliance, and ensuring our participants continue to receive exceptional, person-centred support.
n
You will be responsible for building strong relationships with our employees, participants, and leadership team while maintaining high standards of compliance, communication, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Efficient Scheduling: Build, coordinate, and optimise staff rosters using ShiftCare, ensuring participant preferences, support requirements, staff skills, and service continuity are effectively matched.
n
- HR Administration & Recruitment: Coordinate recruitment activities, including screening applications, scheduling interviews, completing reference checks, facilitating onboarding, maintaining employee records, and ensuring all mandatory documentation is current.
n
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive working relationships with hospitals, the NDIA, support coordinators,
allied health providers, government agencies, and other community organisations to support participant outcomes and effective service delivery.

- Incident & Change Management: Respond promptly to last-minute roster changes, staff absences, participant cancellations, and emergency shift coverage while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
n
- Compliance & Workforce Management: Monitor staff qualifications, NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Cards, First Aid, CPR, mandatory training, and roster compliance while ensuring adherence to the SCHADS Award, Fair Work legislation, and NDIS Practice Standards.

- Employee Relations: Support managers with probation reviews, performance management processes, staff engagement initiatives, and general HR administration while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

- Systems & Administration: Maintain accurate employee and participant information within ShiftCare, Employment Hero, and other organisational systems to support payroll, invoicing, compliance reporting, and operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience
n
n
- Software Experience: Demonstrated experience using ShiftCare is highly desirable. Experience with Employment Hero or similar HR and workforce management systems will be highly regarded.
n
- Industry Experience: Minimum 1-2 years' experience in HR, rostering, workforce coordination, or administration within the NDIS, Aged Care, Community Services, or Healthcare sector is preferred.
n
- Award & Legislative Knowledge: Working knowledge of the SCHADS Award,
Fair Work legislation, and NDIS Practice Standards is highly regarded.
n
- Organisation & Problem Solving: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands, remain calm under pressure, and confidently resolve rostering and workforce challenges.
n
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, participants, families, and external stakeholders.
n
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in maintaining employee records, compliance documentation, payroll information, and rostering data.
n
- Professional Attributes: A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

- Current National Police Check
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain)
n
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence
n
