About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Asphalt Technical Specialist to support asphalt paving operations across a range of infrastructure projects.
n This role is responsible for monitoring pavement compaction and quality outcomes, conducting testing activities, collecting and reporting quality data, and providing real-time feedback to operational teams to ensure works are delivered to specification.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in asphalt, civil construction, quality assurance, materials testing, laboratory environments, manufacturing, or other process-driven industries. Key Responsibilities
n

- Monitor asphalt compaction using specialised testing equipment.
n
- Collect, record and interpret pavement quality data.
n
- Identify and mark pavement core locations for testing.
n
- Provide real-time feedback to supervisors and operational teams regarding compaction performance and quality outcomes.
n
- Conduct asphalt and pavement testing in accordance with specifications and procedures.
n
- Complete daily production, testing and quality reports.
n
- Maintain accurate records using both manual and digital reporting systems.
n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational performance.
n
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and quality requirements.

About You
n
n
- Experience in asphalt, civil construction, road construction, materials testing, quality assurance, manufacturing, laboratory environments or similar industries.
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data recording.
n
- Process-driven and able to consistently follow procedures and testing methodologies.
n
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
n
- Self-motivated with a robust sense of accountability.
n
- Ability to communicate effectively with site crews, supervisors and project stakeholders.
n
- Confident using testing equipment and digital reporting systems, or willing to learn.
n
- Manual and digital data entry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
n
- Current Driver's Licence.
n
- Willingness to travel and work occasional night shifts and weekends as required.
