Senior Mechanical Engineer | Process Equipment | Permanent Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and optimisation of process equipment including filtration and related systems within a specialised manufacturing environment. This permanent full-time position is located within a well-established engineering company in a regional South Australian wine production area.

About the Role

- Essential: Proven expertise in mechanical engineering design with 3D CAD software, strong knowledge of process equipment, and prior leadership experience in a senior engineering role.
n
- Salary: approximately $110,000 per year plus vehicle, mobile phone, and usual benefits.Including vehicle and fuel expenses, estimated total package about $140,000 to $150,000 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead mechanical engineering projects for equipment including filtration systems, distillation units, and refrigeration solutions.
n
- Develop and maintain 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using CAD tools.
n
- Prepare and update process and instrumentation diagrams, design standards, and technical documentation.
n
- Coordinate design reviews to ensure alignment with control system and safety requirements.
n
- Define project scopes, budgets, and timelines ensuring milestones are met.
n
- Engage and collaborate with suppliers and contractors to meet quality and performance standards.
n
- Support installation, commissioning, and equipment handover processes onsite.
n




- Analyse operational data to identify improvements in efficiency and reliability.
n
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams on new projects and automation enhancements.
n
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to sustain competitive performance.
