Workforce Extensions is currently seeking an experienced Metal Worker to join a busy Building & Construction team based in Port Kembla, NSW.

n

Working across a variety of commercial construction sites, you'll commence each day from the Port Kembla depot before travelling to site with the team. This role offers full-time hours, ongoing work and the opportunity to secure permanent employment following a successful 3-month casual trial.

Workforce Extensions is currently seeking an experienced Metal Worker to join a busy Building & Construction team based in Port Kembla, NSW.

n

Working across a variety of commercial construction sites, you'll commence each day from the Port Kembla depot before travelling to site with the team. This role offers full-time hours, ongoing work and the opportunity to secure permanent employment following a successful 3-month casual trial.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for a range of structural and construction metalwork duties, including:

n

n
- Structural steel installation and fabrication
n
- Welding and on-site metal repairs
n




- Reading and interpreting construction drawings
n
- Measuring, cutting and assembling steel components
n
- Installing handrails, balustrades and other fabricated items
n
- Using a variety of power and hand tools safely
n
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
n
- Working collaboratively to meet project deadlines
n

n

About You

n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Metal Worker, Steel Fabricator or Boilermaker within the Building & Construction industry
n
- Experience with MIG welding and general fabrication
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
n
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
n
- Current Driver Licence and Vehicle
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Excellent work ethic and reliability
n
