Job Description

The Customer Service and Dispatch Agent will support the growing business of Alex Fraser, a leader in delivering recycled building and construction materials. This role is based in Derrimut and will help coordinate the dispatch of recycled concrete, aggregates and road base products.

Key responsibilities

- Answer and manage customer calls from Victorian and Queensland customers
n
- Confirm orders and respond to general enquiries
n
- Allocate trucks to the schedule, coordinating up to 50 trucks per day
n
- Work closely with Transport and Logistics teams and Key Account Managers
n
- Use internal software to co‐coordinate dispatch activities
n
- Maintain accurate records in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
n

Qualifications and skills

- High‐level numeracy and strong Microsoft Excel skills
n
- Excellent communication and customer‐service skills
n
- Ability to develop product/industry knowledge quickly
n
- Solid presentation, negotiating and influencing abilities
n
- Emotional resilience and a positive attitude
n




- Capacity to work productively under pressure and with a solution‐orientated mindset
n
- Experience in construction, aggregates, or telephone‐based logistics is advantageous (not essential)
n

Working arrangements

n

n
- 12‐month fixed‐term contract covering maternity leave
n
- Full‐time (40hrs per week) with rotating shifts: 6:30am – 4:00pm, Monday‐Friday, plus up to 2 half‐day Saturdays per month (paid additionally)
n
- In‐office role based at Derrimut with the option to work remotely as required
n
- Company laptop provided

Remuneration & benefits

- Annual salary of $65,000 AUD
