Maintenance Electrician - Food Manufacturing

Blaze Staffing Solutions is proud to partner with a well-established global food manufacturing business operating a major production facility in Clayton, Melbourne. The site runs 24/5 automated production and packaging lines, supplying products to consumers across Australia and internationally. The maintenance team is experienced, well-resourced, and supported by a structured CMMS environment.

About the role Join the permanent night shift maintenance team (10:00 pm – 6:30 am) as the site's dedicated Maintenance Electrician. Maintain and repair automated production and packaging equipment, working closely with the Production team to minimise downtime and support site reliability. This is a hands‐on, autonomous role suited to an experienced industrial electrician who thrives in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

n

- Conduct electrical breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance across production equipment
n
- Fault‐find and repair automation systems including PLCs, VSDs, motors, sensors and control systems
n
- Complete scheduled PM tasks and work orders via Upkeep CMMS
n
- Interpret technical drawings, manuals and electrical documentation
n
- Collaborate with Production to minimise downtime and support site reliability
n

Skills & experience

n




- Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence (essential)
n
- Full‐time work rights in Australia (essential)
n
- Robust industrial or manufacturing maintenance background
n
- Proven experience with PLCs, VSDs, LOTO and automated production equipment
n
- EWP, forklift licence and working at heights experience highly regarded
