Team Global Express is seeking a safety-focused and reliable HC Truck Driver to join our Townsville team. This is a permanent full time opportunity servicing local customers across the region while working with a supportive team that values safety, teamwork and customer service.

About the Role

n

Based in Townsville, QLD, you'll be responsible for completing local pick-ups and deliveries using a tautliner vehicle. You'll work Monday to Friday with start times between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM, depending on operational requirements, with overtime available as required by the business.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Safely operate an HC tautliner vehicle to complete local deliveries and pick-ups.
n
- Load, unload and secure freight in accordance with company procedures.
n
- Apply correct load restraint techniques, including the safe use of straps and chain restraints.
n
- Conduct daily vehicle pre-start inspections and report any defects.
n
- Deliver outstanding customer service while representing Team Global Express professionally.
n
- Complete all delivery documentation accurately and on time.
n
- Follow all Team Global Express safety procedures and policies.
n
- Report hazards,



near misses and incidents promptly.
n
- Work collaboratively with depot operations and fellow team members.
n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- Current HC (Heavy Combination) Driver Licence.
n
- Previous experience operating tautliner vehicles.
n
- Strong understanding of Load Restraint (LR) requirements and the safe use of straps and chains.
n
- Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation.
n
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team.
n
- Flexibility to work overtime as required by the business.
n
