The Royal Queensland Golf Club is the premier golf club in Queensland. Situated at Eagle Farm, this private golf club provides a premium golfing and social environment for its members and guests. The Club has an 18-hole Championship Course, driving range and a world class teaching facility with state-of-the-art golf simulation equipment.

With plenty of projects on the horizon including hosting the 2025 PGA Tournament, hosting golf at the 2032 Olympics and the design and construction of a new short course, the Club offers job enrichment for our team of staff.

An excellent opportunity exists for a driven individual to join the Royal Queensland Golf Club team in a Greenkeeping role.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
The key responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Operating and/or maintaining a wide range of turf machinery and equipment
n
- General green keeping duties
n
- Safe and efficient operation of all mowing equipment
n
- Setting up course for day's play
n
- Bunker maintenance
n
- Pest identification and control
n
- Irrigation system maintenance and management
n
- Assisting in the training and/or supervision of other employees
n
n
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
n
To be successful in this role you will have:
n
n
- Proven experience in a similar environment
n
- Solid communication skills
n
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
n
- Valid Drivers Licence
n
- Pesticide Application Licence
n
- Knowledge of management and maintenance of greens, fairways, and roughs.
n
- Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in golf course construction and maintenance work.
n
- Knowledge of safe use, mixing and application of chemicals and commercial products.
n
- Knowledge of the game of golf, golf rules and methods of play.
n
- Ability to anticipate personnel, equipment and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments.
n
- Ability and knowledge to lay out irrigation patterns, drainage patters, construct tees and/or greens.
n
n
Primary starting time is 5am-2pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 5am-9am Wednesdays. Weekend overtime is required on a rolling roster.Additional overtime will be required throughout the year for special events and busy periods.
