We're now looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to join our South Morang leadership team and help us continue building on everything that makes this centre special.

About the role

n

As Assistant Manager, you'll work alongside the Centre Manager to support the smooth, high-quality operation of an established service with well-embedded programs, systems and relationships. You'll be a visible, hands-on leader — mentoring a settled and capable team, strengthening existing practice, and stepping confidently into the Nominated Supervisor role when required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the Centre Manager in the day-to-day leadership and management of the service, in line with the National Quality Framework, EYLF and all relevant legislation
n
- Assisting the Pedagogical Leader and educators to continually enrich an engaging, play-based program responsive to children's ideas, strengths and abilities
n
- Championing child safety, wellbeing and protection as an everyday priority, including compliance with Child Protected Standards and mandatory reporting obligations
n
- Supporting compliance across health and safety, CCS administration, documentation and regulatory requirements
n
- Contributing to the Quality Improvement Plan,



service philosophy and a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
n
- Nurturing the warm, genuine partnerships we've built with our families and local community
n
- Acting as Centre Manager/Nominated Supervisor in their absence
n

About you

n

You're an early childhood professional who leads with warmth, integrity and a genuine belief in the value of play-based, nature-inspired learning. You'll bring:

n

n
- A Degree in Early Childhood (ACECQA-approved) or a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
n
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role in an early childhood service, or 5 years' experience working in early childhood
n
- Sound working knowledge of the EYLF, National Law and Regulations, NQS and Family Assistance Law (CCS)
n
- Experience across administration, curriculum development, family and community liaison, and staff development and mentoring
n
- Willingness to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor
n
- Current First Aid (in an education and care setting), CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
n
- A valid Working with Children Check, current National Police Check, accredited Child Protection training and Child Safety Training.
