Job Description
HSE, Training & Compliance Administrator
n
EPC Blastcon Australia is a rapidly growing drill and blast contractor delivering services across the Australian mining industry. We are seeking an experienced and highly organised HSE & Training Administrator to join our Townsville office and play a key role in supporting our Health, Safety, Environment and Training systems.
n
Working closely with the Director and the training team, this permanent part‐time position offers an excellent opportunity to support the company's Health, Safety, Environment and Training systems across our operations.
n
What you'll be doing:
n
n
- Coordinate the scheduling and administration of training courses delivered across Australia
n
- Liaise with clients, trainers and participants to coordinate course bookings, logistics and communications
n
- Maintain employee training, competency and compliance records
n
- Manage training matrices and compliance databases
n
- Coordinate employee inductions, onboarding and mobilisation
n
- Schedule refresher training, VOCs, medicals and mandatory compliance activities
n
- Track licences, qualifications, competencies and expiry dates to ensure ongoing workforce compliance
n
- Maintain accurate student records and training documentation in accordance with Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements
n
- Ensure all training administration complies with RTO standards, policies and legislative requirements
n
- Prepare training documentation, enrolments, attendance records, assessments and certification records
n
- Support internal and external compliance audits, ensuring all documentation is complete,
accurate and audit‐ready
n
- Prepare management reports and client compliance reports
n
- Maintain HSE documentation, policies, procedures and controlled forms
n
- Assist with incident reporting, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
n
n
What we're looking for:
n
n
- Proven experience in administration, training coordination or HSE administration
n
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
n
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
n
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and competing priorities
n
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record management skills
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Professional approach when dealing with clients, trainers and employees
n
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
n
- Previous experience in administration, training coordination, compliance or HSE administration
n
- Experience working within the mining, drilling, blasting, construction or heavy industry sectors (highly regarded)
n
- Knowledge of Registered Training Organisation (RTO) administration or vocational education requirements (highly regarded)
n
