Uconnex Community Services' is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Kyabram, VIC. As a casual Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

n

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

n

Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote community inclusion and enhance the wellbeing of clients

n

Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, advocating for their needs and preferences

n

Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures

n

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised support plans

n

Uphold the principles of dignity, respect, and empowerment in all interactions with clients

n

What we're looking for

n

A relevant qualification in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related field

n

Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities

n

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues

n

A compassionate and empathetic approach,



combined with a commitment to upholding the rights and autonomy of individuals with disabilities

n

Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the diverse needs and schedules of clients

n

A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
