STIHL Shop Seymour - Small Engine Mechanic

(Qualified Mechanic or Apprenticeship for the Right Candidate)

STIHL Shop Seymour is looking for a Small Engine Mechanic to join our busy team!

n

Our preference is to hire someone with industry qualifications or solid hands-on experience in small engine repairs who can hit the ground running.

n

However, if a keen, hands-on candidate comes along who is ready to learn and commit, we are open to offering an apprenticeship.

n

If you take pride in quality workmanship, know your way around power tools, and have a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

n

You will be servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of outdoor power equipment, including:

n

n
- Ride-on and push mowers
n
- Chainsaws, brushcutters, and blowers
n
- Generators and small engine machinery
n
- Marshall Battery fitment, equipment pickups/deliveries,



and general workshop/yard duties
n

n

You will also interact directly with local customers, so a professional, helpful attitude is essential.

n

What We're Looking For

n

Experienced / Qualified Applicants (Preferred):

n

n
- Proven hands-on experience or a Trade Qualification in small engines / outdoor power equipment.
n
- Strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and repair faults efficiently.
n
- A genuine passion for mechanical work and a willingness to learn from the ground up.
n
- A practical mindset, solid work ethic, and plenty of initiative.
n

Essential for All Candidates:

- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
n
- Two recent references.
n
