The Farm Yarra Valley is a Wedding & Events business with Cellardoor in Warrandyte South, that delivers a high standard of food & wine experiences to customers, only 30 minutes drive east from Melbourne.

An opportunity waits for the right innovative Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team and expand their culinary experience to the next level.

n

Candidates will have extensive kitchen experience, as you will be joining a creative team that is passionate about quality and attention to detail. The Chef de Partie position will compliment an existing professional discipline and inventive food culture that is built upon a happy, positive & inspirational kitchen workplace.

Working closely with Head Chef and the kitchen team, you will be essential in covering your section, managing mise en plus, contributing to menu planning, perfecting recipes, produce selection & ordering and in general an 'all round' team performer.

n

This role will also involve assisting in the mentorship & development of junior chefs, apprentices and kitchen hands in the team.

n

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

n

Previous experience in similar role would be an advantage - Demi Chef experience & wanting to move up will also be considered.

n

Certificate III Commercial Cookery Trade Certificate.

n

Drivers license and reliable vehicle.

n

Open and honest communication with the team.

n

Strong organisation and problem-solving ability.

n

Critical thinking and a can-do attitude.

n

Competency in the standards & procedures of stock ordering/receiving & HACCP.

n

Be an effective team player, hard-working and innovative.

n

Given the nature of this role, weekend, evening and public holiday hours will be required.
