Beans Marketing is a full-service brand and marketing agency based in Wollongong, working across branding, web development, digital marketing, content creation and graphic design for clients throughout the Illawarra and broader NSW region.

We're looking for an experienced account manager to lead client relationships and projects across our branding and marketing services — someone who can write a strategy and manage its execution from start to finish, bringing at least five years of agency-side experience to the role.

About the role.

n

As account manager, you'll be the senior point of contact for a portfolio of clients and the lead on their projects end to end — responsible for the health of the relationship, the strategy behind the work, and the quality of everything Beans delivers.

You'll write the strategies that guide branding and marketing engagements, then manage their execution from concept through to completion, coordinating our specialist teams to deliver work that's on strategy, on time and on budget.

This role suits someone who has genuinely done this before — who can write a strategy with confidence, run a project and a client relationship in parallel, spot an account at risk before it becomes a problem, and grow accounts through trust rather than upselling.

This is a 12-month maternity contract, with the opportunity to extend to full-time employment at the end of the contract.

Key responsibilities.

n

Own the client relationship for a portfolio of accounts, acting as their primary point of contact at Beans

n

Understand each client's business, brand and objectives well enough to advise, not just deliver

n

Write strategies for branding and marketing engagements, and lead their execution from concept through to completion

n

Plan and manage projects end to end, developing timelines,



budgets and resourcing plans across concurrent accounts

n

Lead client meetings, from strategy sessions and workshops through to status updates and campaign reviews

n

Brief, coordinate and manage internal teams (design, digital, content, web) to keep delivery moving and on brief

n

Manage scope, risks and blockers as they arise, and lead scope, retainer and fee conversations

n

Prepare and present reporting, strategy and creative work to clients in explicit, confident terms

n

Oversee quality control, ensuring deliverables meet strategy and client expectations before sign-off

n

Proactively manage account risk, addressing issues before they elevate

n

Maintain accurate account and project documentation, including strategies, scopes, timelines and status updates

n

Mentor and support junior team members working across your accounts

n

About you.

n

4+ years' experience in account management within a branding, marketing or creative agency

n

Demonstrated experience writing strategy and managing branding or marketing projects from concept through to completion

n

Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects at once

n

A confident, clear communicator who builds trust quickly with clients and colleagues

n

Comfortable leading strategic conversations, not just status updates

n

Commercially minded, with experience managing scope, budgets and fee discussions

n

Sound understanding of branding, digital marketing and creative production processes

n

A calm, solutions-focused approach when things don't go to plan

n

What success looks like.

n

Within the first few months, you'll have taken full ownership of your client portfolio, be writing and running strategy end to end, delivering smooth, well-communicated project execution across teams, and be seen by your clients as a trusted advisor rather than just a point of contact.
