We're looking for someone with proven experience operating production machinery within a manufacturing environment. About the Role

n

As a Machinery Operator, you'll be responsible for operating and setting up specialised nursery production machinery used throughout the propagation and production process.

n

You'll work closely with the Production team to ensure machinery is operating efficiently, product quality is maintained and production targets are achieved.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Operating specialised plant nursery machinery safely and efficiently
n
- Setting up machinery for different production requirements
n
- Adjusting machine settings to optimise production
n
- Performing basic fault finding and troubleshooting
n
- Carrying out routine preventative maintenance checks
n
- Monitoring production quality and machine performance
n
- Assisting with the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
n
- Completing production documentation and basic computer-based reporting
n
- Maintaining a secure, clean and organised work environment
n




- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you'll bring both technical knowledge and a genuine passion for horticulture.

n

You'll ideally have:

n

n
- Hands-on experience operating specialised production machinery
n
- Experience setting up and adjusting machinery for different production runs
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting
n
- Experience carrying out routine preventative maintenance
n
- Good computer skills
n
- A strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
n
