About the role

n

We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Leisure and Activities Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basisat Calvary Balmoral Grovein Grovedale. In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by coordinating and delivering engaging leisure and lifestyle programs. If you have a caring nature, excellent interpersonal skills, and a flair for creativity, we'd love to hear from you.

Your main duties will include:

n

- To respect every resident's individual character, personality and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy and productive lifestyle.
n
- To develop formal and informal activity programs designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents.
n
- To provide social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the residents.
n

About you

n

n
- Certificate IV Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
n
- Certificate III in Aged Care.
n
- Current First Aid Certificate.
n
- Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
n
- Experience or qualifications working within palliative care.
n
- Experience in the planning,



implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
n
- Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements.
n
- Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive ability and to obtain their trust and co-operation.
n
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
