About the Opportunity

n

We're looking for an innovative and commercially minded AI & Automation Lead to join our team at Zeder Headquarters in Archerfield.

n

This role will identify opportunities to improve how work is completed across every area of the business by combining AI, automation, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set the strategy, lead a team of AI and automation specialists, and remain directly involved in building, testing, and deploying automations yourself.

In this role, you'll

n

n
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI and automation specialists, setting standards for how automations are designed, built, documented, and maintained
n
- Define Zeder's enterprise-wide automation roadmap, with a clear framework for when to use agentic AI versus structured, rules-based workflows
n
- Map business processes and identify opportunities where AI and automation can eliminate manual work,



reduce inefficiencies, and improve productivity
n
- Build, test, and deploy automations using platforms such as n8n, including advanced workflows involving conditional logic, webhooks, API integrations, error handling, and custom JavaScript or Python functions
n
- Deliver practical automation well beyond AI: system integrations, data flows between platforms such as ERP, e-commerce, and CRM, and scheduled workflows that remove manual work whether or not AI is involved
n
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into Zeder systems to handle tasks such as summarisation, document routing, prompt-based decision-making, and agentic workflows that combine planning, tool use, and autonomous action
n
- Work closely with business leaders across HR, Finance, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and Engineering to understand operational challenges and translate them into practical AI solutions
n
- Oversee automation security, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure long-term reliability of everything your team ships
n
- Lead AI adoption by developing standards, training employees, and supporting change across the organisation
n
- Measure the success of AI initiatives through productivity improvements, time savings, quality outcomes, and business performance
n
- Stay at the forefront of emerging AI technologies and continually identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
n

About You

n

You could be a perfect fit if you

n

- Are passionate about AI, automation, and improving the way businesses operate
n




- Have 3+ years' hands-on experience building and deploying automations with low-code platforms such as n8n, Make.com, Zapier, or Power Automate. n8n experience is highly preferred
n
- Have experience implementing AI tools, workflow automation, or business process improvement initiatives from planning through to deployment and iteration
n
- Have a strong working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and integration protocols. JavaScript or Python scripting skills are highly regarded
n
- Are familiar with LLMs and AI agents (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot) and how to apply them in practical automation scenarios, including prompt engineering
n
- Have familiarity with eCommerce and business systems such as Magento 2, Stripe, ERP, or CRM platforms (highly regarded)
n
- Have experience leading or mentoring technical teams, or are ready to step up into your first leadership role (highly regarded)
n
- Can analyse business processes and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or redesign workflows
n
- Are an excellent communicator who enjoys working with people across all levels of an organisation
n
- Thrive in a fast-paced workplace where innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged
n
- Have experience delivering technology adoption or organisational change initiatives (highly regarded)
n
- Have a background in operations, business improvement, technology, engineering, or project management (all considered)
