About the Team

We conduct airborne missions for the Australian Government across maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. With bases strategically positioned across Australia, we operate a fully integrated in‑house aviation capability which includes flight operations, maintenance organisation, training organisation and operations centre.
The Opportunity
This role is an opportunity to contribute to join the Cairns engineering team as a B1 LAME reporting to the Senior Base Engineers, for the completion of assigned aircraft maintenance.
In this role, you will:
- Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
- Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements
- Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident / injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
- Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers
- Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS
About You
We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.
Essential for this role:
- Experienced LAME B1 or dual licensed
- Heavy and Line maintenance Experience
- Hold a DHC8 classic or Cl604 type rating
This role requires the successful applicant to hold full Australian working rights.
Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. In certain circumstances this can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.
