At Newcastle Private Hospital we are seeking Enrolled Nurses to join our speciality surgical ward team permanently, either full-time or part-time. The specialty surgical ward covers predominantly Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Bariatrics.

n

There's also the ability to pick up shifts across other surgical ward areas.

About us

Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.

We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region.



Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN
n
- Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
n
- Medication endorsed EN may administer medications according to state law and organization policy
n
- Current Registration with AHPRA
n
- Working with Children check
n
- Enrolled Nurse qualification in Monitoring and Administering IV Medications
n
- Advanced level of clinical skills (desired)
n
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
n
- Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines
n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
n

Highly Desirable

n

- exposure to Orthopaedics, Bariatrics or Neurosurgery surgical ward settings
