Working closely with Planning, the Category Buying team drives sales, maximises profit, manages inventory and delivers forward-thinking ranges that excite customers.

About the role
n
We're looking for an Entry Category Buyer - Women's Accessories to join the Commercial team.
n
In this role, you'll help shape the Women's Accessories category by identifying emerging trends, building compelling product assortments and supporting commercial growth. You'll work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver the right products to customers while balancing commercial performance, inventory and profitability.

What you'll do

- Support company-wide strategies and business objectives.
n
- Conduct market research to identify trends, products and brand opportunities.
n
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain healthy stock availability.
n
- Evaluate supplier performance and support vendor selection and exit processes.
n
- Negotiate commercial terms with wholesale and marketplace suppliers.
n
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations.
n
- Identify emerging trends and source products that align with customer demand.
n
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including brand plans, SKU lists and category documentation.
n
- Analyse trading data and customer insights to inform buying decisions.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and commercial performance.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term partnerships.
n
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and ongoing vendor support.
n
- Partner with key brands to develop strong product assortments.
n
- Develop strategies for underperforming brands and product categories.
n
- Review contracts and ensure commercial agreements are accurate and compliant.
n
- Collaborate with Marketing on promotional and go-to-market opportunities.
n
- Develop strategic category roadmaps aligned to commercial objectives.
n
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations and Finance.
n
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members where appropriate.
n
- Adapt to changing market conditions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Complete additional duties as required.

About you
n
You'll bring:

- Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer within a high-volume retail or e-commerce environment.
n
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
n
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
- Excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
n
- A cooperative approach and strong commercial mindset.
n
- A passion for women's fashion and emerging trends.
